About ‘El Gordo’ Spanish Superdraws

What is ‘El Gordo’ superdraw?

The Spanish Superdraws are drawn differently from other lotteries. Most lotteries draw 5 or 6 balls, making up a combination of winning numbers. With the Spanish Superdraw, each ball has a five-digit number printed on it. These numbers range from 00,000 to 99,999 (except for ‘El Gordo’ Christmas draw, where the numbers range from 00,000 to 84,999), and are limited. Once these tickets are sold out, no more are made available.
Tickets for the these draws can be purchased either as a whole ‘serie’, or, more commonly, as a ‘décimo’ (one tenth of a ticket/serie).
When the draw takes place, a ball with a five-digit number printed on it is drawn from a bowl - this is the winning number. Another ball is drawn from a separate bowl displaying a prize amount. These 2 balls are combined to provide the winning number and prize amount won.

When are the draws?

  • July Summer 'San Ildefonso' Special Draw: €150 Million prize fund
  • August Superdraw: €84 Million prize fund
  • September Superdraw: €84 Million prize fund
  • October Superdraw: €84 Million prize fund
  • November Superdraw: €84 Million prize fund
  • December ‘El Gordo’ Christmas Draw: €2.6 Billion prize fund
  • January 'El Niño' Draw: €850 Million prize fund

To cancel a repeat order notification needs to be received by us before the last draw date of the applicable ticket. This can be done via email and needs to contain the following imformation: member name, order ID and ticket ID of the ticket that requires cancellation.

What is a bonus ball?

The bonus ball is an extra number that is drawn to get a bonus prize of matching 5 numbers plus the bonus ball (5+1) which offers an extra prize of a much higher value than matching 5 balls on their own.
The bonus ball only applies if you have 5 matching main numbers.

Have I received a scam email?

The LUKI lottery website is safe and secure and used by many International Players however, you need to be on your guard against Internet fraudsters. We never ask for any up-front fees or requests personal details by email. If you receive an email which sounds too good to be true, it probably is!

Fraudulent (Scam) Emails – what to do first
Lottery scam emails are increasing at an alarming rate.
Scam emails try to persuade the receiver to submit personal information or to part with money as an up front payment in order to release a winning lottery prize.
If you have not purchased a ticket for the UK National Lottery or EuroMillions, you will not have won a prize, and you should treat the email with absolute caution.

 Signs of a fraudulent email:
·               There may be a sense of urgency, eg ‘respond within X days or your Account will be closed’ or to ‘keep your winning notification confidential’ until ‘your claim has been processed’.
·               There may be embedded links (links within the body of the email) that look legitimate because they contain all or part of a real company’s name. These links may take you to spoof sites which ask you to update personal information, or may download key—logging software onto your PC
Spoof websites can be difficult to spot. To make sure you are on our site, type http://www.lukilotto.com/into your browser and see if you arrive at the same place

·               If the email says ‘Winning Notification’, ‘Lottery Sweep Stake’, ‘Congratulations Ref No.XXX’, or mentions ‘British National Lottery’  in the text, the email you have received is not from LUKI.CO.LTD;

·               We don’t ask for any Player information like name, address or bank details on an email.

·               It is unlikely that an e-mail from an unspecified source such as a hotmail or yahoo address would be offering the type of service you would expect from a legitimate registered company dealing with millions of pounds or dollars.
In our communications we will only use the following addresses:
·               admin@lukilotto.com
·               sales@lukilotto.com
·               info@lukilotto.com
There is no need to contact us if you have received a lottery related scam (fraudulent) email.

The official operator of the Spanish lotteries, Loterias y Apuestas de Estado has issued a warning about fraudsters using the name El Gordo and forging documentation and bank forms to obtain money under false pretences.

Mailings and emails are being sent to consumers claiming they have won the Spanish lottery. In order to claim their 'prize', recipients are asked to provide their bank account details and told that 5-10 per cent of the winnings will be retained for costs. However the 'winners' are later contacted and asked for various fees in order to release their alleged prize, and they never receive a penny. Genuine Spanish lottery prizes are always free from taxes.
